The Florida Gaming Control Commission is a five-member regulatory body that is responsible for exercising all regulatory and executive powers of the state with respect to gambling, including pari-mutuel wagering, cardrooms, slot machine facilities, oversight of gaming compacts, and other forms of gambling authorized by the State Constitution or law, excluding the state lottery.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC), with assistance from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and Homeland Security Investigations, dismantled a multi-location illegal gambling operation last week, resulting in the seizure of 265 illegal gambling machines, more than $120,000 in illegal gambling proceeds, multiple criminal charges, and the filing of immigration detainers.
