FGCC Mission Statement
Preserve and protect the Integrity of gaming activities through fair regulation, licensing, effective criminal investigation, and enforcement.
The Division of Gaming Enforcement will carry out the FGCC’s mission by:
- Protecting the public from the harmful effects of illegal gaming by zealously enforcing Florida’s gaming laws through its own efforts and collaborations with state and local law enforcement and governmental agencies.
- Proactively safeguarding Florida’s Gaming Laws through monitoring, enforcing and aiding in prosecution.
- Exposing the many forms of illegal gaming and its negative impact on the citizens of the state, and
- Educating the public about legal gaming activities in the state.
Purpose
The Division of Gaming Enforcement aims to safeguard and enhance public welfare in Florida by detecting and preventing the spread of illegal gambling and gambling operations and minimizing the detrimental effects of illegal gambling within the state. Moreover, the Division of Gaming Enforcement will achieve this objective through the detection, investigation, apprehension, and arrest of individuals found to be in violation of Chapter 24, part II of Chapter 285, Chapter 546, Chapter 550, Chapter 551, or Chapter 849 of the Florida Statutes.
Vision
The Division of Gaming Enforcement is committed to protecting the public from becoming victims of the predatory practices of illegal gambling and reduce the significant negative impact on the communities in which they operate.
